Announcements/Deadlines
WELCOME BACK & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2Ls & 3Ls: Fall 2025 Grades, Transcripts, and Spring 2026 Reminders. Fall semester grades for upper-class JD and LLM students will be released by today, Friday, January 9. Students will receive an email notification when they are posted to the Student Portal. Transcripts will be unavailable while the Registrar’s Office process grades. In the meantime, you may submit requests via the Law School Parchment storefront. The Registrar will resume processing transcripts on Monday, January 12.
2Ls & 3Ls: Closed Courses and Wait Lists. Students who are still on the wait list for a closed course should plan to attend the first meeting to remain eligible for enrollment. The Registrar will email any students they can admit before the first class. Faculty will take attendance and any students they can accommodate after the first class will be required to complete an add/drop form. Students with questions may contact the Registrar's Office at lawreg@bu.edu.
2Ls & 3Ls: March 2026 MPRE Registration Deadline: Thursday, January 22, 2026. The Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) is a two-hour, 60-question multiple-choice examination that is administered three times per year. The MPRE is required for admission to the bars of all but two US jurisdictions. BU Law recommends that JD students take the MPRE in between 2L spring and 3L fall to ensure their eligibility to apply for any bar jurisdiction. If you are interested in the March 2026 administration of the MPRE you must register by January 22, 2026. For questions, please reach out to Associate Dean Muir at gmmuir@bu.edu.
1Ls & 2Ls: How to Request a Letter of Good Standing (For Summer Internships or Similar). If your summer internship requires a Letter of Good Standing or a Letter of Enrollment Verification, please submit that request to Associate Dean Muir (gmmuir@bu.edu), including the name of the office, or officer, to whom the letter should be addressed, the business address of the relevant office, email (if required) and any specific information that is requested. Letters are provided on a rolling basis.
ALL: The doors to the Law Tower will be unlocked Friday, January 23 & Saturday, January 24 for the CUPA Con Conference.
