Hi, everyone!
We are so excited to welcome all of the new 1Ls to Boston University School of Law and welcome back our incredible 2Ls and 3Ls! This year is going to be absolutely fantastic, and OutLaw is here to support each and every one of you as we dive into the school year together. We are thrilled to be part of this growing, vibrant community that has flourished over the past 50 years, and we could not be more excited to continue that legacy with all of you.

Remember to take care of yourselves—stay hydrated, make sure you're eating enough, and give yourself the grace to breathe amid all the law school stress. For a midweek pick-me-up, don't forget that there's free coffee every Wednesday morning in the law café from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM! And for our first-gen professional students, there's free breakfast at the Newbury Center every Friday morning starting at 9:00 AM (at the School of Theology Community Room B24) until they run out of Einstein's bagels and cream cheese!
Additionally, if you’re ever facing challenges with fulfilling basic needs, please know that help is available. You can access the BU Food Pantry here, and we strongly encourage you to reach out to either your Faculty Connections Advisor, Geraldine Muir, or any member of the OutLaw board if you need further support.
We also want to shout out to BU’s newest student organization, BU HOME (Housing, Organizing, Movement, Empowerment), which is doing amazing work for housing justice. Through participation in the meetings, rallies, and legal education efforts of local grassroots organizations, members of HOME have the opportunity to learn from the efforts of community organizers and assist them in any way that they can. If you are interested in volunteering with City Life/Vida Urbana to help tenants know their rights during the eviction process, or if you would just like to learn more about the student org, join the BU HOME GroupMe!
