🦃Announcements/Deadlines🦃


ALL: Holiday Library Hours. The Library will have adjusted holiday hours for Thanksgiving break.   

  • Wednesday, Nov. 26; 9am-5pm  
  • Thursday, Nov. 27; CLOSED*  
  • Friday, Nov. 28; CLOSED*  
  • Saturday, Nov. 29; 10am-6pm  
  • Sunday, Nov 30; 10am-6pm 
NOTE: The building will also be closed on Thursday and Friday (and you will not be able to swipe in) to allow essential staff to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families. From Monday, December 1 through December 18, the library will operate on a normal schedule:
  • Monday - Friday: 8am - 10pm
  • Saturday - Sunday: 9am - 9pm
ALL: Alternative Study Locations. For those looking for a place to study over break:
  • BU Pavement will be open on Friday – Sunday from 7am – 2pm 
  • Boston Public Libraries will be operating over the weekend. Click here to find specific library branches and their hours. 
ALL: Building Swipe Access. From Friday, December 5 until Friday, December 19, the Law Tower will be swipe-access only for the Law community. Signage will be up shortly to alert the broader community. Looking ahead, please note that beginning on Friday, December 19 at 5 pm, the building will be closed to students for the duration of Intersession. All-BU card-swipe access will resume on Monday, January 5.

ALL: Student Affairs is bringing back their bi-annual chair massages by Boston Chair Massage on Friday, December 5. Sign-ups will be available Wednesday, December 3 at 1:00pm, along with other departmental activities during finals week!

See below for a couple of events that are taking place this weekend!

  • SoWa Winter Festival opens on Black Friday, November 28 - December 28. Admissions is $10.
  • Holiday Market at Snowport. The Holiday Market at Snowport Presented by Constant Contact, features 120+ makers, more food than ever before, custom cocktail bars, festive decor, live music, and more. Check out their website to see what vendors will be present. Insider tip: If you are pressed for time and have a few extra dollars, you can pay to reserve a timed ticket to access Snowport by via the Seaport Insider app.  
  • MeetBoston is a great website to see what is happening in Boston every day!

Taking Care of Yourself Over Break

  • SHS posted a “Thanksgiving Break Self Care Tips” to their Instagram (@bustudenthealth). Take a moment to look through their tips and resources. 
  • Headspace. BU Law faculty, students, and staff have free membership to the Headspace app. Headspace provides mindfulness tools, breathing and meditation exercises, mental health coaching, and more! 
  • Travel season and winter is right around the corner! Make sure you are up to date with your flu shots and vaccines! For more information and to schedule a PCR test, please visit Boston University Student Health Services. You can also follow them on Instagram. SHS also provides a list of what to do when you’re sick.
