3L Special Edition: Announcements/Deadlines

- Statement from Concerned Faculty of Boston University School of LawWe are pleased to share a statement from BU Law faculty regarding the threats to the rule of law, among other concerns. 

- Grades are not released simultaneously in the new system. Look for emails from the Registrar about when to expect grades and when they will release information about scholarly categories. 

- Law School Lineup for Commencement. All graduates must be assembled no later than 8:00 am on Sunday morning. The procession will move into the Track and Tennis Center at 8:45 am and Commencement ceremonies will begin at 9:00 am. 

- Dean Onwuachi Willig asked us to share the video from the Kendrick Lamar performance/parody at the Farewell Dinner. Thanks to Zach Dubin for the video and Sabrina Molinaro for her work in cutting the video and adding the lyrics!  3L Dinner_Just Like Us_Horizontal_Lyrics.mp4

- Locker Cleanout by May 19. Property left in lockers after the 19th will be considered abandoned and will be removed. Once all items are cleaned out, please keep your locker unlocked.  

- Lost & Found. The Student Affairs office has drawers of lost items from the past couple months. If you think you lost something, it may be in our office! All unclaimed items by Monday May 19th will be discarded or donated. Photos of the items are at the end of the newsletter. 

- Summer Library Schedule. This summer, check the library hours page for the current library schedule and how to best connect with the Library team. You can expect the 3rd floor to be open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm through the bar exam, with the exception of Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and July 4 when the library will be closed. The 2nd floor and Mezzanine will be closed for the summer. All library spaces will be closed the first two weeks of August for maintenance. In mid-August, library spaces will re-open M-F 9am-5pm. 

- Summer Building Schedule. Summer building hours will be 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, beginning on Monday May 19.   

- Federal Student Loan Exit Counseling Requirement. Graduating students (3Ls & LLMs) who borrowed federal student loans while at BU Law are required to complete Student Loan Exit Counseling. The exit counseling session provides important information to prepare you to repay your federal student loans. Go to the Federal Student Aid website to complete this requirement. Please reach out to bulawaid@bu.edu for questions.  

- BU Law Grad Photo Station. BU Law Grad Photo Station. There will be a photo station in The Redstone Room (10th floor, Room 1002) from 9am to 5pm on May 12 - 19. Bring your own camera and capture pictures in front of the BU Law step and repeat. If a line forms at any time, please limit your time to 5 minutes while others are waiting. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. A photo on the set up was featured in last week's newsletter. You can find more information on Commencement here. - Going to the All-University Ceremony? Although law students do not usually attend the All-University ceremony, if you plan to do so, please be on time for Commencement at Nickerson Field! Graduates must be lined up with their school/college by 12:15 pm, Sunday, May 18, in preparation for the procession. Latecomers may not be admitted to sit with their class. 

- Faculty Engagement. The faculty continue to work hard to respond to the issues of the day. Here is last week's update:
