3Ls: Spring 2026 Final Exams. The preliminary Spring 2026 final exam schedule is now posted. Exam times and software security will be posted after spring break. The Registrar's Office will accept requests for exam relief at that time. Contact the LAW Registrar's Office at lawreg@bu.edu for questions. 

3Ls: Student Commencement Speaker. You have 2 options to be involved in the process for Student Commencement Speaker: (1) nominate yourself or others to be the speaker at Commencement; or (2) sign up to be part of the committee that chooses the student speaker for Commencement. The deadline for both is Friday, February 27, at NOON. If you are interested in either option, please refer to the detailed email from Jill Collins on Wednesday, February 12, and complete the following linked form: https://bostonu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6xjptFD4XAr4tq6.   

3Ls: Order Regalia by March 23 for On-Campus Pick-Up. In order to participate in the in-person May 17th Commencement ceremony, you will need to wear University-approved regalia. JD students graduate in doctoral regalia, which is rented from an outside company Herf Jones, through the BU Campus Store. Carefully review the information on the Commencement regalia page, and take care of your order as soon as possible. Be sure to review the return deadline as well.

ALL: Library Hours. Over Presidents’ Weekend, the Fineman and Pappas Law Libraries will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, February 14-16, 2026.  

ALL: The doors to the Law Tower will be unlocked Friday, February 13 for the Boston University Law Review Spring Symposium and Monday, February 16 to allow access to the library.

Events in Boston This Weekend

It's a long weekend, and there are great reasons to take a break!

Free Admission to the Museum of African American History. From February 14 –17th, the Museum of African American History, with partnership with the Red Sox Foundation, will provide free admission and tours for all visitors. Click here for more information and the promo code.

2026 Lunar New Year Festival Gala. Join the City of Boston at City Hall on February 15 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm to ring in the Year of the Horse! More information here

Sledding and North Shore Exploration: Plum Island. Spend the day exploring the charm of Massachusetts’ North Shore in the wintertime with BU Outdoor Programs on February 15. Transportation is provided from the BU Fitness and Recreation Center to the trip location and back. $35 for FitRec members and $40 for nonmembers. A meal is provided.
