3Ls: Simulated MBE Exam. We are excited to announce that on January 16, 2026, from 1:15pm to 4:30pm, all 3L students will be eligible to take a practice multiple-choice Diagnostic exam on all topics covered in the MBE portion of the Uniform Bar Exam. This is an invaluable opportunity for early exposure, practice, and personalized feedback to set you up for success on the bar exam – no studying required! Registration is required. Sign up here to ensure your spot. And we will be serving a pizza lunch beforehand – details to follow. Reach out to Lisa Freudenheim at lfreuden@bu.edu.
ALL: Building Closure. The Law Tower will be closed Friday, December 19 at 6pm – Monday, January 5 at 7:00am.
ALL: Law Library Hours. The Fineman and Pappas Law Libraries will be open for regular academic year schedule (Mon - Fri: 8:00am - 10:00pm and Sat - Sun: 9:00am - 9:00pm), until Friday, December 19, when it will close at about 5:00pm. The Library will reopen for pre-spring hours, starting Monday, January 5 - Sunday, January 11 (Mon - Fri: 9:00am – 5:00pm and Sat - Sun: 10:00am – 6:00pm).

ALL: Welcome Back Ice Skating! We are excited to bring back our Third Annual Ice Skating Night at Agganis on Thursday, January 22 from 6-8pm. BU Law will have exclusive use of the ice at this time, and welcome all JD students that want to participate! This is a free event (including skate rentals) for students. More information to come.
1Ls & 2Ls. Save the Date for the 1L & 2L Opportunities Fair! Save the date to attend BU Law’s annual “Opportunities Fair” taking place in the BU Law Atrium from 12-2pm on Friday, January 30. The goal for this fair is to offer students a broad view of the opportunities that await you in your 2L and 3L year. This will include curricular offerings (e.g. clinics, externships, concentrations, etc.) as well as co or extra-curricular opportunities (e.g. moot court, lawyering fellows, journals, student org leadership, paid positions, etc). With so many opportunities to choose from, past students have reported feeling overwhelmed, underinformed, and ill-equipped to prioritize and plan the best path for their goals. This event will assist in demystifying the process and providing key information to help you plan.
1Ls: 303(c) Session III. Be sure to save your section's mandatory 303(c) session for next semester:
Section B: Monday, February 2nd, 2–3:30 pm
Section E: Tuesday, February 3rd, 10:40 am–12 pm
Section C: Wednesday, February 4th, 4:30–6 pm
Section A: Thursday, February 5th, 4:30–6 pm
Section D: Friday, February 6th, 12–1:30 pm
303(c) Session IV: All 1Ls will attend a film screening of Shared Legacies on Monday, March 23rd. Time and location will be shared early next semester.
