1Ls: Spring 2026 First-Year Final Exams and Midterms. The preliminary Spring 2026 final exam schedule is now posted. Exam times and software security will be posted after spring break. We will accept requests for exam relief at that time. If you have a midterm exam and require exam relief or religious accommodation, contact the LAW Registrar's Office at lawreg@bu.edu.

1Ls & 2Ls: FINAL REMINDER: JD & BYO Orientation Welcomer Applications. Apply to become a Welcomer or take on a Leadership role for BYO, JD, and Transfer Orientations! This is a combined application for both volunteer and leadership positions. All interested students should fill out this form, even if you're only signing up for one orientation program. Once you're done, click "Submit" to send it to the Office of Student Affairs. The deadline is Tuesday, February 17th at 12 pm. For more information, you can view the info session presentation here.   

2Ls: Student Affairs Fellows Info Session - Are you interested in supporting student organizations, leadership development, and inclusive programming? Consider applying for a Student Affairs Fellowship! We will host an info session on Tuesday, 2/17, from 1:00 to 1:30 PM in Room 416. No registration is necessary, but if you RSVP via Docket, we will send you a calendar invite. Applications will open on Monday, 3/2. Email studaff@bu.edu for questions. 

ALL: Library Hours. Over Presidents’ Weekend, the Fineman and Pappas Law Libraries will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, February 14-16, 2026.  

ALL: The doors to the Law Tower will be unlocked Friday, February 13 for the Boston University Law Review Spring Symposium and Monday, February 16 to allow access to the library. 

ALL: Preparing for Ramadan. Several BU Offices collaborate to support students during Ramadan. For more information on these resources, visit Marsh Chapel's dedicated page here. 

1Ls & 2Ls: DEADLINE TODAY! 2026 Health Law Summer Fellowships. The Boston University School of Law Health Law Program will provide summer funding of up to $6,000.00 for up to four students, either 1Ls or 2Ls, who accept an unpaid summer internship position in Health Law with a non-profit, public interest, or government organization for the summer of 2026. You need not have accepted a position already to apply. You can apply here. To be considered for this funding, please submit the following by today:  

  1. Resume;  
  2. Offer letter or email (if you have already accepted a position or have an offer);  
  3. Response of 250-500 words to the following prompt:  "Please describe any past experience working on or studying health law and/or policy, and please share how you plan to work on such issues in your future legal career."

It's a long weekend, and there are great reasons to take a break!

Sledding and North Shore Exploration: Plum Island. Spend the day exploring the charm of Massachusetts’ North Shore in the wintertime with BU Outdoor Programs on February 15. Transportation is provided from the BU Fitness and Recreation Center to the trip location and back. $35 for FitRec members and $40 for nonmembers. A meal is provided.
