Subject: Happy Monday, OutLaw!

Hi, everyone!

Good morning and happy Monday! We hope you’re keeping warm and finding some time for self-care as we head into a big week. With Election Day on Tuesday, many of us might be feeling a mix of emotions—from stress to excitement to everything in between. Balancing school, life, and the election can be a lot to juggle, so don’t forget to take extra care of yourself. A quick walk, chatting with friends, or even just a few minutes of deep breathing can make a difference. And as always, OutLaw is here to bring some positivity and support to your week, with events that offer a break, a boost, and a space to connect!

Care Package Interest Form!
During the last week of fall classes, OutLaw will be handing out finals care packages! If you would be interested in receiving one, please fill out this form by this Thursday, November 7th at midnight. The form will only take about 2 seconds to fill out and is open to all grade levels. Let us know if you have any specific requests!

OutLine Bank Alert!
Thank you to everyone who contributed materials to the OutLaw outline bank! It can be accessed at any time here. Feel free to save a shortcut to your Google Drive for easy access. We will continue to accept outline submissions throughout the year through this form. Let us know if you have any questions!

Calling All 2Ls and 3Ls!
Latham & Watkins is generously sponsoring a moot court team from BU Law to participate in the 2025 UCLA School of Law’s Williams Institute Moot Court Competition, the first national moot court competition dedicated to issues regarding sexual orientation and gender identity law. Through Outlaw's collaboration with Latham, the sponsorship will cover team member’s trips to Los Angeles to participate in the competition. Special shout out to our Networking Chair, Caroline Crawford, for helping to build these community relationships that enable our members to engage in opportunities like this. The participating team members will need to commit to the following dates and deadlines:
February 11, 2025 – Briefs due
March 15, 2025 Preliminary, quarter-final, and semi-final rounds
April 11, 2025 – Final round of competition
The competition accepts teams of up to three students. To apply, students should fill out the form Saturday, November 16, at 5:00 pm.  Preference will be given to students who have participated in moot court competitions before and students in their final year of law school.

We strongly encourage all 1Ls to attend to help build their networking confidence in a low-pressure environment (if you have the capacity, of course).
