Happy Friday, 2Ls!

After a couple of weeks off, the CDO is back with another 2L Summer Recruiting Friday email! We are writing with a reminder that 2L summer recruiting continues, and BU Law’s August OCI program opens for applications on Monday. This is a smaller program which includes a variety of employers, including government, public interest, and small or mid-sized firms, and opportunities for 2L summer or post grad. Employers are continuing to register for this program, but current participating employers include:
  • Bronx DA (NY), Summer Intern
  • US Dept of State (D.C.), Legal Summer Intern
  • Bressler, Amery & Ross P.C. (Florham Park, NJ), 2L Summer Associate
  • Middlesex DA (Woburn, MA), Law Student Intern
  • Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc., 2L Summer Intern
  • Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough (Boston), 2L Summer Associate
  • PAIR Project Intern (Boston), Spring, Summer, Fall Intern
  • Bidding/Application Period: Monday, July 21 at 12:00pm NOON - Monday July, 28 at 12:00pm NOON ET. This is a firm deadline; late applications will not be accepted.
  • You can view job postings TODAY by clicking on "OCI and Job Listings" in the directory on the left-hand side of your screen, then "Advanced Search", and finally the "OCI" tab. Click on each job posting to view job descriptions and requested application materials.
  • Bidding will occur via CareerHub. Please follow these Application Instructions.
  • Application Materials: will be sent to employers after the application closes
  • Before submitting materials, we recommend the following: (1) Send your resume & cover letter to your CDO advisor for review. (2) Schedule a Mock Interview via CareerHub. (3) Consult the Recruiting Guide.

Similar BU Law OCI opportunities will occur in the fall and during the year and the Massachusetts Law School Consortium (MLSC) interview program will open for applications in mid-August with virtual interviews taking place at the end of September, so please review all CDO weekly emails to stay informed and check in with your CDO advisor to help you prepare and get answers to your questions!
