Subject: Happy Monday, OutLaw!

Hi, everyone!

Good morning, and happy Monday! I hope everyone is getting hyped for Barrister's Ball this weekend! Saturday's weather was beautiful, so I for one will officially be pretending it's spring (which, technically it is) from now on!

Transgender Day of Visibility: Come celebrate our trans community at BU! We will be hosting drag bingo, holding a silent auction, and showcasing artwork by trans and nonbinary artists! Proceeds from this event will support youth programming at Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, particularly the annual Trans Youth Summit. Most artworks will be available for sale!

Join Outlaw and the LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center next Monday, March 31, from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm. More information and tickets found here!

Opportunity to Attend the MA LGBTQ Bar Association's Annual Gala: BU Law is sponsoring the MA LGBTQ Bar Association's Annual Gala, so there are 5  FREE tickets for interested law students. The Gala will take place at the New England Aquarium from 7PM-10PM on Thursday, June 12. I went to the gala last year and it was super fun (and fancy!). Please email Amber Woods (amberfw@bu.edu) if you would like to attend!

BU Law Alumnae Impact Network Reception: You are invited to the kickoff reception for the BU Law Alumnae Impact Network, a new initiative honoring the women who have shaped and continue to shape the school’s rich 150+-year history. This network is dedicated to celebrating and empowering alumnae, students, faculty, and friends.

To mark the launch of this initiative, a kickoff reception will be held from 6-8 pm on March 26th in the Law Tower. The event will feature a dynamic conversation with distinguished alumnae who will share reflections on their journeys, lessons learned, and advice for the next generation of leaders.

You can RSVP here.

How to Testify for Trans Rights: We want to share an important resource created by the Advocates for Trans Equality. It's a comprehensive guide to testifying for trans rights in front of school boards, city councils, state legislatures, and more. Click here to view!

This scholarship supports Black female law students by providing $5,000 to assist with Bar exam expenses. Additionally, recipients receive another $5,000 after completing one year of service as a prosecutor.
