International Law Society, co-sponsored by International Law Journal, is hosting Professor Garcia Sanchez of Texas A&M School of Law for a discussion of the recent American military, political, and business actions in Venezuela. Professor Garcia Sanchez has taught at Texas A&M School of Law since 2017, where his scholarship focuses on international law with a focus on North American international energy law. His recent work has been published in Fordham International Law Journal, University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law, and Cornell International Law Journal. While earning his S.J.D. from Harvard Law School, Professor Garcia Sanchez also clerked for Justice José Ramón Cossio of the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico during Summer 2013.

Boston University School of Law’s own Professor Koh will be joining the discussion to provide his perspective as an expert in international law. Professor Koh’s recent legal research has been published in the U.C. Davis Law Review, Boston University Law Review, and the Washington University Law Review. Professor Koh’s commentary is also shaped by his current position as a fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology at Yale University.
