ALL: Student Org Fair. Come out to the BU Law Atrium & Law Cafe on Friday, September 6th from 12:00 - 2:00 to meet all of BU Law's 35+ student organizations. You will have time to ask questions, talk to current members, and choose how you'd like to get involved! 

2Ls/3Ls: Would you help select new faculty? The Faculty Appointments Committee seeks students who can provide student insights for the selection and hiring of BU Law faculty. If you are willing to serve in this leadership role by giving 2 – 5 hours (one hour a day, for a total of 2 to 5 days, over the coming year), please complete this quick survey which contains more details about the commitment, by Thursday, September 19. Interviews will take place in person and will be scheduled as needed.

ALL: Requesting Advances of Financial Aid. Make sure you carefully read the email sent from bulawaid@bu.edu on September 4th. The email details the process for requesting advances of financial aid for students whose funding is still in process. This applies to federal loans, private loans, and other types of aid (e.g. Americorps funding, institutional loans, etc.). If you will have a credit balance for the fall semester once your financial aid has been processed, you can submit a request using this form.

ALL: Sports Pass. Do you still need to cancel your Sports Pass? Here’s the form to do it!  

2L/3L: MPRE Registration. Registration for the November MPRE is open now through September 18th. Registration for the March MPRE is also open now through December 4th. Anyone requesting exam accommodations for the MPRE must complete the request process before registering for the MPRE. To apply for an MPRE test accommodation, please begin the paperwork with BU Disability and Access Services as soon as possible to allow for a timely submission. 

2L/3L: Be a JD Admissions Ambassador! Each year, the Admissions Office provides prospective students with the opportunity to connect with current BU Law students. These current students are called Student Admissions Ambassadors, and their email addresses and profiles are featured on the BU Law Admissions website. Prospective students can email the Ambassadors if they have specific questions or just want to learn more about life at BU Law. We are looking for Ambassadors with a variety of interests and who are engaged in activities at BU Law. To apply to be an Admissions Ambassador for Fall 2024, please email Brittney McCartney at bfmcc@bu.edu by Wednesday, September 11th. 

ALL: One-on-One Financial Coaching Sessions. Have a question about your loans, budgeting, managing your credit, bar expenses, public service loan forgiveness, or other money topics? Leah Young, an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) from AccessLex Institute will be on campus on September 18 and 19 to provide answers in a one-on-one setting.  

2L/3L: Will you advise Dean Muir? AMICI Scholae needed. Associate Dean Muir is creating a student advisory board focused on JD students’ academic experience at BU Law. This consultative board will work with Dean Muir, other faculty and staff, and their peers to identify strengths and areas for improvement within the student experience at BU Law. Meetings are 75-minutes, once a month, with some possible outside work (estimated 3-hours a month time commitment).
