You're Invited!
On behalf of the First-Generation Convening team, we want to welcome you to BU Law and invite you to join us on Wednesday, August 28th, for BU Law’s First-Gen Convening (FGC). This event gives students who identify as first-generation (i.e., the first in their family to attain a four-year college degree, graduate degree, or professional degree) the opportunity to learn about resources at BU Law and meet other first-generation students.
The event will run from 2:30 to 7:00 PM and includes a panel discussion with first-generation professionals, students, and faculty; dinner with current first-generation law students; and concludes with an ice cream social where students can learn more about resources and avenues of support for first-generation students at BU Law.
You can register HERE for FGC. Please register by noon on August 19th to ensure sufficient space and services. We will make every effort to accommodate late registrations. We will circulate the tentative schedule by the end of July. Don't hesitate to contact Amber Woods, Associate Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Engagement, at amberfw@bu.edu with any questions.
We hope you can join us this August!
Sincerely,
Marc Wolf, FGC Coordinator & Rising 2L
Ben Mackillop, FGC Coordinator & Rising 2L
