Mission Intellectual Property (IP) is a robust field with increasing law student interest. Our mission is to connect Boston University Law students with attorneys in IP law; to expose students to the sub-fields of IP, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright law; and to demonstrate the importance of intellectual property in various industries. The society will build a community by connecting students with potential job opportunities, and by connecting students with resources within the School of Law and the greater Boston area to facilitate students’ own career development. To that end, we will foster a network of professional support composed of attorneys, students, and faculty. This community will serve as a broad forum for discussion of current and developing issues in the field of IP law. The society will engage with members through panels, social events, mentorship programs, and other organized programs. The society will be inclusive to all members of the Boston University School of Law Community regardless of age, sex, gender identity, background, race, status, etc. We will further foster and support diversity in the field of intellectual property law by engaging with underrepresented student groups and sub-fields within IP law.
