Environmental law is often vilified as a field that requires litigating on behalf of the “bad guys.” Is it possible to find an eco-friendly career within the field?

Featuring four superb speakers, this panel will highlight public interest work in the environmental law space. We’ll be diving into a range of environmental concerns including environmental justice, light pollution, wildlife, and natural resource conservation—and, most importantly, how we can eventually apply our law degrees towards a greener future.

Our speakers include Meghan Davoren, Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Environmental Protection Division; Michele Brooks, a lead organizer for the Massachusetts Chapter of the Sierra Club; Robert Burgess, president of Southern Maine Astronomers, retired lawyer, and a key figure in Dark Sky Maine; and Suela John, an attorney at the MassDEP Office of General Counsel. Our speakers will shed light on what working in these spaces entails, especially in today's political climate.

Come to learn more about how you can use your law degree for the greater good, and to get FREE dinner!
