BU Law Immigrants’ Rights and Human Trafficking Program is partnering with Justice at Work and CCT- Centro Comunitario de Trabajadores to assist immigrant workers applying for Deferred Action at two October clinics in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Deferred Action can make a big difference, as it would mean a four-year work permit and relief from the risk of deportation.

We are soliciting law student volunteers to assist workers to complete Deferred Action applications. We particularly are seeking bilingual Spanish volunteers, but all volunteers are welcome. Training will be provided to any participating students.

Tenative Dates of Clinics: October 23, 2024 and October 30, 2024, 9-5 pm in New Bedford*
*Dates are subject to change .You do not need to be available on both dates, although you are welcome to attend both.

Sign up: If interested, please complete the following survey, and you will receive more information about training shortly. If you have any questions, please contact Associate Dean Julie Dahlstrom at jadahl@bu.edu.
